Who We Are

Human migration and migration of cultural notes with the humans since the dawn of civilizations, and tracing the trails of it in today's world to attain a sense of harmony across the globe, has been the area of involvement for the INDUS BAND FOUNDATION.The journey started by the INDUS BAND, a cross-border two-member Neo-classical band based on the research by its vocalist and musicologist Somali Panda. The research was started by her in 2007, and her Migrating Music took the concrete shape of a band, while the bass player from Bangladesh, MF Hossain joined in 2017.During the crucial corona days migration and migrants came up to the surface level throughout the globe, especially under the aegis of the UN, and so did the Migrating Music. INDUS BAND was invited to perform twice during this time on the UN platforms; and INDUS BAND evolved into INDUS BAND FOUNDATION in 2021, to walk more steadily on the path of Human Migration and its numerous fallouts worldwide.
